Bologna, that the city where now I live....cause married with "Bolognese" man....From food to palace...make me feel lucky can stay here.....Even not like Siena, Tuscany where I lived before, at least make me still feel live with great food...

Bologna......the one of city in Italy we can find alot of good food( but I thing most all city in Italy we can find too).The city famose with ragu( tomato sauce with mince meat) Bolognese all the world.

Last weekend I took around Bologna center, from Due Torri and passing the street, I found a small market in centwith small street , we can find the fruit shop, fish shop, butcher shop,vegetable...ecc...And all is fresh.

and the deffrent with another place in Italy, most of shop sell fresh bologna pasta by hand...and it show on the window ....mmmm ...good view for my stomach....

New year in Modena with Zampone con Leticchi e pure di patate

Modena is one of the city at regional Emilia Romagna .Around 40 km from Bologna, with population 180.000. Home of Luciano Pavarotti, and famose car Ferari. Famose MOdena produce are prosciutto cotto ( raw prosciutto ), aceto balsamico and zampone ( stuffed pig's trotter).

My boyfriend's family at New year they celebrated with wine Lambrusco, and eat torteloni for first course and second course is zampone with lenticchi( lentil) and pure di patate( potatoes pure).

They bought raw zamponi one night before, and put in normal water for 1 night, and early in the morning boil for 8 hours. It's need long time to wait it...ufffa...!!!

And the new year we eat Zampone, the taste so good and a lot of fat...but forget it !!! because todays is New year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
